A friend's Acer Aspire One A150 (netbook) just started to have a problem today with the display. It will be very bright white when first turned on and then will go to a medium brightness when the BIOS is loaded. It will then remain the same brightness from then on regardless of what I have tried to adjust it. It will brighten itself and then dim with about a 2 second cycle. Going into sleep mode forces the max bright white screen. The strangest part is that when it is shut it down the screen it fades out from the bottom right to the top left quickly but noticeably (like a GBC screen transitioning). When plugged in the display behaves the same but without the constant. Shifting between brightening and dimming. The VGA out doesn't seem to be affected at all.
So is it the inverter board or something else?
