I was wondering if there was a way to make a wii play Xbox 360 or PS3 games. I kno this would require extensive hardware and software hacks, i was just wonderin if it was possible

If you really wanted to mount all of the hardware in a case and you didn't damage anything, maybe.

    lol.

when finished, the case would be three times bigger and it would essentially have most of the hardware of all three systems in it.

Yeah the energy and the resources that should be put into the project is a bit tricky... Money probably will not be a problem but it could really be hard to find individuals that are self motivated to involve in these hacks.

You're talking about pulling a semi trailer with a Honda Civic. Sure, you could -really- modify the hell out of the car to get some more power, but at some point it ceases being a small car. And you're pulling the trailer at about 1 foot per second, tops. [IMG] I don't believe the original XBox has been emulated even, let alone a 360 (or PS3).

Your money is better spent buying and fixing a ring-o-death unit, if you can't afford to buy a new console.

you could do it but it would require the hardware from thw ps3 and xbox inside the wii which wont fit so a full tower (computer case) will be most likely be needed plus some major firmware hacks, money and 100's of man hours would be needed.

    It's a waste of time

Just get a HDPVR to plug the PS3/Xbox into your PC and use WiiMC to see it on the Wii.

You would have to buy all of the hardware and place the firmware on it anyway, so you may as well just buy the systems....a lot less work, a little less money, and you don't make yourself look silly on GBAtemp.
