Hardware Strange behaviour of hardmoded 3DS XL

Lately my hardmoded 3DS XL is behaving strangely. When Animal Crossing (legit CIA) is played it crashes when it tries to save. When rebooting the 3DS, it directly goes into the blue screen. From here it always goes into the blue screen until I remove the battery.

Any idea what causes this?

I guess the hardware mod is damaged, because I can't get the PC to recognize the 3DS NAND. If I wanted to remove the hardware mod, would cutting off the wires be enough?

it's probably desoldered, or loose and touching nearest contacts.
cutting the wires and be sure there's no shortcut should fix it, but if it's a 3DSXL it should be easy to fix because the pad are big enough.
it's probably a single wire to fix, it's too bad to remove it completely.
if you don't have the skill to do it, don't you know someone else? or send it back to the user who did the mod?

I see. Could the faulty hardmod be the cause of Animal Crossing not saving and going into a blue screen?
