Stranded on an island

You and some random peopleon your flight crash onto a island. You are the only ones. There's no escape from the island, so your forced to create a government. You all decide on your government being a democracy. What are some positives to your government being a democracy?

Dissallows unequal distribution of power aka dictatorships. You shouldn't be allowed to live in America if you can't write an essay / do a project on why democracy is a good form of government

It wouldn't be good. Democracies are not known for quick decisions. On an island, you need 1 strong leader to organize and set tasks for people.

Democracy:
What should we do first? Foor or shelter? Vote!
*half raise hand for food, half for shelter. 3 hour discussion follows, you get neither, night falls, and everybody gets sick.

Other:
You! Go get food!
You! Go get shelter!


Trust me, if you are writing a paper on this the teacher will give you a good grade if you say this.
