Hello,

I've recently bought a NSW and put an SDCard 256GB to save games/files from Tinfoil/Hbg
I've formatted it in FAT32, 64KB Cluster size (I don't know if this info is relevant)

Now, when downloading games from HBG (but I don't know if this is the problem)
They take far more space than they should, e.g. 100GB games took up about double their size (200GB), and now I have only 30GB left (even tho I should have at least 130)
Is this due some caching when downloading stuff in some specific folder, or is it linked to some other problem?

Thanks in advance

You certain it's not a fake MicroSD?

Bought it on Amazon, tested with H2testw.
I've read somewhere that also the SD2Vita had this problem on PS Vitas, and it was due to the memory format (FAT32 in my case)

I just wanted to know if anyone has ever had this issue, or if maybe the HGB files remain stored somewhere (I mean, the installer, if there is any)

Yes if you are getting different amount of available space you see on a computer and on your switch.

Didn't check on my PC actually, I'll try and let you know
Thanks

Edit: wait a second, you mean as available space in general?
My PC said about 237GB, so did my Switch.
I downloaded some games overnight, total weight of about 100GB, and it says ≈40GB left

It would show incorrect available space if the wrong cluster is being used, by default Nintendo console use 32kb cluster.

I will check this thing tonight, and if this is the case (I hope it is), I'll just backup my SD Card on my PC, format it with 32KB cluster size, and move things back

Thanks

i had an issue with my 256gb sd card i bought from amazon a couple months ago. Installed a game and it was considered corrupted even when downloading straight from gdrive. The way I fixed the issue was rebuilding the MBR, deleting all partition, and then created a new partition with MiniTool Partition Wizard. See if that works for you

So
I did everything (wipe and cluster)
And just realized that the games actually had the right amount of storage
Didn't think a game could be 20 GB (Naruto) or 30 GB (MK11)
