you may dont know, but here in quebec, habs means habitant, and for us, an "habitant" is an insult, similar to your redneck insult, you know, no education, two teeth in the mouth (lucky ones have three)

Is redneck an insult, it is used as a catch all term for country dweller of the American (and possibly Canadian) persuasion here? This is the whole oriental thing all over again isn't it (not an insult, not an epithet, a perfectly valid thing to call someone in UK English)?

That said I have not seen anybody called a hab around here. Is this heading something off at the pass or just some petits Francais actions?

    i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
