Just wondering, since they are supposedly starting to direct deposit the stimulus checks starting this morning. I was wondering has anybody here gotten theirs yet?

I haven't, as of yet, so I'm hoping to get it soon, or at least by this Friday.

The economy is shit over here, so they are mailing out stimulus checks in hopes of stimulating the economy. In other words they hope we'll go out on a spending spree, with our own taxed dollars; in turn spinning the grinding gears of our consumer based nation . Of course the smartest thing we could do with the checks is save them for a rainy day since the recession is eminent and all. But most people will probably be stupid enough to go waste them, just as the government has advised, probably in vain.

Best I can guess at it really as they have this weird breakdown I should get $1200 or most of itbeing married w/out kids.

I really have to wonder how much though as it says if you make $60K/yr joint then you get $1200. But, do they look at total income perspective, actual, etc for the year in doing so. If that's the case then it wouldn't be that much maybe around $900-1000 or something. I got a $4200 raise last June and she was making a decent amount but nothing huge...this year though our combined is just barely over that $60K threshold.

So, I guess all those that won't get a stimulus check this year shouldn't feel totally shafted.

Unless you don't have parents or they don't support you, then you don't qualify for this.

    So most college students=no check

I guarantee you they do since it's not a very rare thing, and no linkiboy you don't get the money. It's for your parents.
