Still can't get Wii games to play. Gamecube games seem to be working fine through Nintendont. Anytime I try to open USB Loader Gx, it just constantly says "changing USB port to 1" and stays stuck there. With Wiiflow, the games show up just fine, but when I go to launch them, I get a black screen and eventually it takes me back to the Wii home screen. CFG doesn't even show the games. It did once, but then did the same thing Wiiflow does. Any advice? I've ran through steps in official guides multiple times with no luck. As well as tried both USB ports on the back. (I know the one closer to the edge is the one to use.)

Someone recently said "Install v10-beta52 or v8 in all 3 slots, not v10-53, v10-52 and v8. CompleteSMG is out of date and sorta wrong, too." But I have no idea how to do that, or if I should. Help here would be greatly appreciated. I will post a syscheck below.

Nintendont would work because it works from a vanilla ios 58, you have hermies cios's installed as well as d2x cios's, but judging from your syscheck, you shouldn't have any problems loading games, what is your setup for your harddrive? is it fat32 or wbfs formatted? is it a harddrive or thumbstick? what program are you using to install your wii games?

Wii backup manager to install the games to a folder named wbfs. The games show up fine in wiiflow, makes the "music" of the game and everything. I am using a fat32 formatted 32 gigabyte sandisk USB flash drive. I have the gamecubes installed in a folder named "games" and the USB seems to be putting those out okay so I know it works.

I'd be willing to bet its your flash drive that is the problem, do you have a hard drive?

I do not, and that is the problem I have suspected as well. If everything else seems right, that is the only option I have left I think. A Samsung SD card wouldn't do any better than the flash drive would it?

I know usbloader gx wont read from sd, but 128gb hdd's are like 16 bucks on ebay, i just got one myself, and you can get a cheep enclosure for it also. but one of the other loaders was said to read games from sd, i forgot if it was wiiflow or configurable usb loader

In USB Loader GX, go to Loader Settings and change Loader's IOS to 58, then restart the program and see if it detects you flash drive now.

I just checked, configurable usb loader does load wii games from sd
Thanks for checking, appreciate it. I'll have to try, but the thing is, it never gets to load, it gets stuck during initialization. Maybe if I unplug the USB it won't.

In USB Loader GX, go to Loader Settings and change Loader's IOS to 58, then restart the program and see if it detects you flash drive now.
I'll have to try to make it to settings first, it freezes during the startup with the message "changing USB port to 1."

I am pretty sure I got everything installed correctly with that part

What external drive does everyone recommend?
Seagate or wd drives work good, but if you get a wd my passport, make sure it isn't used, because there is a password lock software that you can install to the drive, and if someone already installed it, it cannot be removed, and will render the drive useless to ues on the wii

Avoid also some Toshiba drives, since they enter on Sleep mode automatically after some time.
All drives do this AFAIK.

It freezes even with the drive out?

As does WiiFlow. I personally prefer WiiFlow over CFG Loader. They both look a bit unpolished IMO, but WiiFlow is much more visually appealing. It's too bad USB Loader GX doesn't support Wii games on SD, since it's the most polished of the 3 and mimics the system menu very closely.

if you have a sd card reader you could probably try that plugged into the back of the wii, i cant guarantee it will work, but it is worth a shot
