    Steam Community Night
    TF2
    [IMG]

Time again for something fun, this time in the form of yet another Steam Community Night. Starting at 11pm CET tonight there'll be a lot more mashing to do in yet another game of Team Fortress 2 on GBAtemp's own server - "Temp Fortress". Don't know when 11pm CET is? Then you might want to check out the link available below so you won't miss a minute of killing time.

To avoid confusion while playing against other tempers it'd preferred if you could use your GBAtemp username while playing on the server. This is of course optional, but it is a lot more fun when you know who it really is that keeps beating you at a game of Payload or the likes. [IMG]

Hope to see you all there frying each other to dust while having a fun time!

In case some of you are having trouble finding the server in the in-game browser there's another way to join. Enable the console in advanced options for TF2 and then press the tilde key(~) or add the launch option "-console" to the game before launching it from Steam. After that you should type "connect 94.75.248.156:27015" into the opened console and you should automatically be connected to the server.

I would play on that server, but I always ping 220+ on TempFortress versus 60-80 everywhere else.

This is open to all, right?

If so, I may join in with this as I haven't played in a while. I haven't even tried some of the new modes.

I'll speak to you guys in the IRC channel later.

    Gentlemen?
I hope this aint a laggy server, backstabs are hard on laggy servers (You either do a facestab or miss).

The server itself shouldn't be laggy at all, but there could be some problems due to high ping if you're in USA or somewhere outside of Europe. Well, at least that's what could happen, but some people who don't live in Europe has said that they wouldn't even have known that the server was in Europe unless I'd told them that it was.

Hehe, that was fun. Great playing with ya Minox and Anthology, but I have to go now.
I hope that more people will join even when it's not a community night, so that I have someone to play with at some time sooner than 11PM or 12PM.

What maps will you guys be playing?

    *Edit*
So I've tried joining the server multiple times, but I can't seem to connect. Is it not up right now?

Wow, I can't play because Steam doesn't want to update the game. It just keeps pausing after downloading for a few seconds. My connection works great and I'm running a nice and clean install of Windows 7 RC1. Doesn't happen with other games that need updates. What is going on? Anyone else have this problem?

    EDIT:
    Never mind, it resolved itself.

Sorry for being a n00b (and posting somewhat off topic), but can you play Half Life 2 in multiplayer without Half Life 2: Deathmatch?

Wish I had this game [IMG] . Should have gotten it when it was on sale.

If you want Half-life 2: Deathmatch there's an easy way to get it legally. Depending if you have an ATI or an Nvidia GPU choose the correct link below and follow the instructions. These are official Steam deals so there's nothing to be worried about [IMG]

No need to create a new account if you already have one, it'll work with an existing account.

I'm currently trying to figure out why the server crashes randomly and I hope I'll have it fixed until the next time.
