So i posted other threads with black screening issue and all this crap going on and i couldnt trouble shoot and it was driving me absolutely nuts. NOW, im asking (politely of course lol) if someone with alot of modding experience is willing to take the time and walk me through fully the modding process! im willing and ready for a whats app call or face time or whatever has to happen, but i could seriously use the help i have expended so many options trying to fix and i just wanna be walked through properly ( no disrespect to anyone else , ive just been turned in so many different directions) So please any mods would be great who have experience or someone who can vouch for another experienced person to help i would be in your debt!

theres a special user on here, real go getter, goes by google.com, he can help you.
no need to troll... simply asking for an experts help, they can chose whether or not they want to help. Been having problems with game reads and black screening just want to make sure i am doing everything right

I followed the Wii guide to get to a certain point so far.. I formatted , then reinstalled Homebrew channel, backed up using BootMii as an IOS, then added priiloader and backed up my Wii just in case. So far i believe it has all been done correctly. I am now on the installation of the cIOS d2x stuff. If someone who is very experienced could give me the full breakdown of what exactly i should be using( either beta52 or V8 final ) with what slots and bases it would be greatly appreciated. Many different guides and people say many different things just looking for a clear and concise answer. :)

EDIT:
I found this one the Wiki GBA temp page for installing.
  • IOS202[60] (rev 65535, Info: hermesrodries-v6): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS222[38] (rev 4, Info: hermes-v4): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS223[38+37] (rev 4, Info: hermes-v4): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS224[57] (rev 65535, Info: hermesrodries-v6): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS236[36] (rev 65535, Info: rev 3351): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access
  • IOS248[38] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS249[57] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS250[56] (rev 21008, Info: d2x-v8final): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
  • IOS251[58] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
Assuming i do all the IOS 248 and up would this be correct?

Your best bet is to go to wii.guide

I edited that wiki with that cios list, u do not need them all (I never actually said to install all of those, just that they were examples of some commonly installed cios's)

Wii.guide will direct u to install d2x base 57 to slot 249, base 56 to 250, and base 38 to 251. This is all u need, and even then 251 is only needed for just 2 games that don't work on 249 and 250

While wii.guide is awesome, I think u might have an easier time using ModMii, and it does a bunch more things.

ModMii will be recommending the same cios's as wii.guide after its next update in a day or 2. Currently it won't install base 38 to 251 for those 2 games, but u can still play them with the cios modmii also installs to slots 222-224

Edit: your clear and concise answer is in the modmii changelog I am going to share in a day or two.

Thank you for the assistance. i am on a macbook pro so modmii i dont think is an option for me. i did install based on your previous wii wiki guide, exempting 248 and below. so i did 248, 249. 250, and 251 based on the recomendations. Should i make any changes?

the second half of that looks like a log from the hackmii installer

your cIOS looks fine, base 38 in slot 251 would be a bit better, but the only known difference between that and base 58 is USB keyboard support in Animal Crossing, so w/e

you system menu IOS isn't patched, but that only makes a difference for certain things, like copying and running some WiiWare to the official SD Menu IIRC

yes it came in the IOS log during systm check not sure why but i never backed up my wii before so maybe since i backed it up this time it showed up.. wont be using keyboard for animal crossing i dont think , but if i do i will keep in mind. And im keeping the wii as a basic mod i guess you could say : playing wii back ups, game cube back ups, as well as gameboy advance emulations, and SNES. Thats it. So for what i stated, do you believe it should be good to go and give it a test run or should i make any changes?
