I've always wanted a game like this on a home console, and I guess with some good programmers and glovepie that you could hook it up to similiar arcade games

I've always wondered if this would work with Glovepie and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. I mean I know it wouldn't be like *really* moving a lightsaber (since there are predefined swings etc) but its stil gota pretty cool no?

Ever since they showed the first pics of the wiimote, I wanted this to happen.

Hope it doesn't turn out like red fail.

I just started playing Lego Star Wars yesterday. Gotta say that it's been a real blast playing it.

Anyways, I wouldn't be too worried about that. I mean, Lego Star Wars isn't the only Star Wars game in the works, just the only one that's already been announced for Wii I believe. Could be a version of The Force Unleashed in development for Wii for all we know. Or yes, it could still be Lego Star Wars but hell. It's better than nothing.

I've got a nephew that's gonna cream his pants when he hears about this. I mean, we always figured it was gonna happen, but now we have a confirmation.

Didn't one of the Ninty bigwigs actually go to Lucas and personally ask for this? It was only a matter of time.

Why don't you guys try Die By The Sword with glovepie? I don't have a wii but I guess it would work out, it has a vsim control, you swing the sword using the mouse, it's quite fun even though its so old [IMG]
