Ok so I know you can texture hack SSBB to get some cool
character costumes and whatnot.
(Ex: Oni Link, Oni Toon Link, Super Sonic, Shadow)
I know you can easily get the actual textures on the internet
but how do I apply them to my game?

What programs, quick explanation?

I use Riivolution. It's perhaps not as flexible as Brawl+, but it's a lot easier to use. I'm a complete noob when it comes to that sort of thing, and Riivolution allows me to simply toss all of the required files into one folder on my SD card and make use of community made hacks. If you're trying to create your own, that's a completely different story altogether. If you just want to use hacks, get Riivolution, go to the Brawl Vault website, and go to town.

Okay if you want to use texture hacks, THEN you need to put them in a specific folder in the private folder. Then if you use USB loaders, then start up(example CFG USB loader) Turn on ocarina and paf! it works! BUT you need to have a ocarina cheat file with the cheats needed for it.

Search on You Tube:

SSBB texture hack

Search for a video by Masterlinkszz(or whatever his name may be something in that way I belive.)
Read the description and done.

The cheats are always in a text file. You the use "Code Manager" and that will enable you to select the cheats from the notepad and turn them into a .gct file (Cheat code file).

What do you mean? If you mean the textures that are already on there, you can manually delete them yourself by going into the PF and character folder located in the private folder.
