using usbloader ultimate edition 7.3

Hmm, you could always try the most recent version (7.4 v6) or you could simply use Waninkoko's 1.1 version for installing games (but don't use it to delete them).

sounds possible, but speed of your usb device makes a big difference.

i was doing testing with a usb-flashkey that took about 20min's to backup the average game,
when i swapped it for a toshiba 3.5" external drive (wd 1 terrabyte drive inside) it did it in half the time!!!

ha...i'm not bitching, its just the first game i ripped and was wondering if thats the norm?
atleast i dont have to burn the image, that prolly add another 1/2 hour plus the cost of the disk.

Was it an original? Because backups take forever for me to install, and I'm guessing a backup of Brawl would take long as well, around 50 minutes, which is still considerably less than 90 minutes, so my guess is also that your USB device might not be too good.

yeah for a game of that size it's about the norm....Most of my 3-4 gb games took anywhere from 30-40 mins on average so an hour and a half sounds about right.

if you think that's slow, the usbgecko dumper took like 2 or 3 hours to rip my manhunt 2 as does wifi dumper so as of right now the usb installer is the least time consuming.

It also depends on the size of the game. Brawl is about twice as big as any other game on the wii so it would take twice as long at least and twice that if it was a backup.
