No, you're thinking of double sided, not dual layered.

i have a usa wii i think modded with wiikey, how can i tell which version i have,

What are the main problems with the duplicate channels bug? I'm more than willing to give it a try so long as there are no big problems with it.

The wiikey can play DL, what abut the DL GCOS that was released....that works fine on wiikey.

As seen in the Blackcats ssbb vid, the duplicate channels where Japanese while the originals where English. This makes me think that not every game has a firmware update on the disc but JUST channels for the people who can't connect to the net.
The Wii suggest that it is updating, but it might just only put these channels on the Wii. This might explain why the black-cats crew didn't semi-brick their USA Wii. Speculation of course.

If your Wii is Semi-bricked you can get into maintenance mode by pressing and holding + and - buttons and when asked to push "A" push it and your in. You CAN get into the semi-bricked Wii system menu this way!

This is my first posting and I hope its not already be answered anywhere in one of the threads...

Has anyone tried to load the 4,7GB ISO (this one from the taiwanese guy) or the original game on a PAL Wii with Cyclowiz or DC2Key? I live in Germany and my Wii has the WiiD-chip so it would be cool to know if I can play the game with another chip. If that is so I would get a new chip.

Has anyone tried to load the original game on a PAL Wii

I'm looking for this since yesterday, but it looks like no one tried to play SSBB on a Pal Wii yet.
As 90% of the jap games don't work on a Pal Wii, I don't want to buy the game before some confirmation.

No, you're thinking of double sided, not dual layered.

Why is everyone so pissed it doesn't work with wiikey yet? You have to buy the game anyway in order to use a back up; so just play your legit copy until you have a back up.
