Hacking SSBB Hermes 222 Rev3 or Rev4

I have Rev14 249 and dont want to downgrade to 13, i have read heaps of post about 222/223 and getting SSBB to work
I have tried heaps of different combo's, this seems to be the most popular rev3 222, rev4 223, but what ios 36 or 249 ?
i use 249 and still i get the freeze

Which is the best Rev of Hermes and is it installed as 249 ?

use the v4 installer and install 222 as 38merge37 and 223 36merge37 for the best results

hermes cios installs as 222 and/or 223 depending on how you configure it.

rev3 works with a base ios36, rev14 works with a base ios38

it has nothing at all to do with waninkoko's cios (which installs to ios249 and 250).

i use rev3, using just ios36 for 222, and ios36 merged with 37 for 223. rev4 wont work on my system (cant find my harddrive).

what boof222 is suggesting wont work unless you use 2 different installers, as rev4 doesnt use ios36 at all.

Hermes v4
install 38/37 @ 222
install 38/60 @202*

Hermes v3
install 37/36 @ 223**

*you might as well ...as mplayer/homebrew USB2 it is recomended
**Though if you don't use instruments ie RockBand you may just stick to the v4 installer

I am just trying to get SSBB to work, its been on my Hdd from day one, it worked fine before Rev14 249, do i need to re-rip to the Hdd,
I have tried different Usb loaders and different settings and it still freezes
