A Taiwan guy has dumped the game data from the SSBB DL disc.

He uses the Wiikey DVD dumper on the Wii with D2Ckey to dump the game data in the 2nd layer of the D9 DVD, using a 2G sd card as a storage.

The data can be burned on normal D5 disc, and can be recognised by both D2Ckey and Wiikey Wii consoles.

But it sounds the data on the 2nd layer is not completed. When he plays the single mode of sub-space advanture, wii reports error.

Anyway, this is a good news

Good news indeed. But at the same time, they're bad, Subspace Emissary is something I did not want to miss

Yeah, I'm buying the original anyway, but I wanted to play it before. Oh well...

Do you know if it's only the Subspace that has errors? I mean, are Classic and Adventure playable? (As well as any other modes)

2ch is also talking about this at the moment.

It seems that the game gets an error during the opening movie if you let it run, and when you clear a game mode (I think this means Simple/Classic) it gets an error during the credits.

VC demos don't work either, and probably other missing data.

(note: please DO NOT post on 2ch in a language other than Japanese if you visit the site.)

On another note, apparently this guy-> ( http://regreen.seesaa.net ) is attempting a dump of the image at the moment. He says that a standard game takes 17 hours (?) with his method, but he's not sure how long the dual layered disc will take or if it will work 100%.

lemme make a bad attempt...

"This completely doesn't work, its showing the same message as when you put an update disk into a non-modded wii"
And i think it mentions how the wiikey doesn't have a switch?
and it probably won't work for a while

and basically confirms the video in the other thread about the wiikey

【Wiikey】

Basically says that the Wiikey again fails. In order to play SSBX one will have to cut the power to the Wiikey before booting it. This is of course to play the legit SSBX.

"This is no good; The response I get is as if you insert a backup into a normal Wii - It doesn't run.
If people are going to continue to use the Wiikey from now on, they might have to install a switch to turn it on/off."
