Wiikey doesn't work on the normal copy, no reason a burned version would... You shouldn't be any more worried. The Wiikey team is working on a fix.

In the DVD authoring world, DVD-R's are more reliable, last longer, and are just a superior format. DVD+Rs are usually less compatible on some DVD players and they wear out. So if both work equally after it's been confirmed, go for the -R. If tests are only done on +R, just do that to be safe. If it's the JPN version of Brawl, you only need it to work for a month anyways.

Good luck finding dvd-r dl to burn it, most stores sell dvd+r dl.

It's not like dvd+r don't work, all I tried worked so far ... even no name brands.
