Spoiler tag question

Here's my question: What's the reason to put spoiler tags and why the spoilers tags are important to GBAtempers?

They can reduce large blocks of text, hide spoilers, etc.

I usually use them to hide pr0n in my posts.

/me wonders if this is in response to my post to your Chrono Trigger thread.

Spoiler tags are useful so you don't give away information about games that people may not have reached yet. But that is just one of it's many uses.
