While Nintendo might have claimed that Splatfest events would be over for Splatoon 2, the "contentious" ketchup vs mayonnaise Splatfest is back again, for a bonus one-off special. A new update for the game also went out, bringing the game version to 5.2.0, adding in some weapon changes and balancing. That's not all though: a free demo of the game will be available, allowing Nintendo Switch Online users to play the game for free, temporarily, from April 29th to May 6th, complete with Turf War, Ranked Battle, and Salmon Run modes available to play. Splatoon 2 will also be 30% off to encourage those who enjoy the game to pick up the full version so that they can partake in the ketchup and mayo Splatfest, which takes place from May 22nd to May 24th.
