I think its a good idea, not to help the noobs, but to avoid questions like "whats your cios version?" "what fw are you on?" and such. I think its to help the helpers

If someone cant read the stickies, theyre not gonna post their specs, their goddamn lazy. Most ppl who have specs in siggys have legitimate questions ...................most anyway, and besides the people who dont know dick about hacking will post their specs as
wii, 4.2

they dont know any more than that

in that case we should make a template

It would go something like

region of your wii -- what part of the world is your wii from?

firmware of your wii -- what firmware is your wii is currently on?

the homebrew channel version -- what version is your Homebrew Channel on?

Bootmii types installed -- How Bootmii was installed on your wii. boot2, IOS, or both?

rev cIOS for waninkoko and hermes -- what revision number your cIOS installed as? for both waninkokos and hermes.

method of loading backups -- how you are loading your backups, disc or USB?

method of system menu hacks. -- if any using preloader or startpatch?

Your theory or concept is sound, however the real help would be if people actually read and researched before posting. Yes... we all know there's a 1,000page thread, but it's not that hard to go through it, especially 9 times out of 10, the 1st poster updates the 1st post.

I don't see how it will help that much tbh.
Example, say you have all the info in your sig, n00bs will still ask how you did it.
