Hey. So after some time with my New 3DS Xl the speakers suddenly died?
I have sound from my headphone jack and I can hear the camera shutter sound so I think they are not entirely dead but other than that I don't know what to do.
I would appreciate some help.

Might be the contact on the headphone jack permanently noticing headphones even if not plugged in. This mutes the speakers for almost everything – the shutter sound isn't muted because without that sound somebody could stealthily take pictures of other people with a bad quality, 640*480 resolution camera → Yeah, I know 🤦‍♀️

What should I do about it?
Do you have any idea?

I would try the following in that order:
  • Search for dirt inside the jack and try to clean it
  • Measure continuity on various points on the problematic console and compare to a working unit
  • If the jack is confirmed to be defective solder in a new one

Pff, I hope it's the first cause I don't know if I can do the other two. Thanks for the help.
