I've read on Russian sites that it was built as a robot for going to the Moon or even Mars. It had to be wireless to control. The dog head was used for simple tests to see if it could work, and it had to be controlled by a human head. In-fact, I've read that they actually did try it out with a human head, but the documents weren't published for ethical reasons. Its unknown if they succeeded or not.

And this is only one of the test's they did in that country....

I wonder.. Maybe russians have created robots like that. D=
