Ive been playing Metroid Prime Trilogy lately and on occasion, usually during loading times i hear these sounds

I hear that Wiis have a bit of a problem with dual layers might I'm posting this as doors in Metroid Prime 3 are taking a few seconds to load.

Should I look in getting the disc drive replaced?

No. Mostly all Wii drives are not so good with Dual Layer games. It wears out the laser. Don't play them so much or use a USB Loader.

Do you get disk read errors? You could also try cleaning the lens using the official Nintendo Wii lens cleaner.

Are you using the alt.dol method? Backups of MPT won't load MP3 directly, you've got to tell the loader to load MP3's dol directly. I've only ever done it in neogamma, so I can't tell you how to do it in GX, sorry.
