I am using Vista and was wondering if there was any software I could download that would allow me to record sound that my computer is playing. Kinda like Fraps screen recorder except instead of video, just sound.

Audacity is good. And it's free.

Right click the sound icon in the taskbar next to the clock. Click Recording Devices. Set Stereo Mix as default. Then just use Sound Recorder to record it.
