What??? Highly anticipated how??? Long awaited??? Nobody wants two more consoles that emulate old games when there are already much better options out there for that very task.

It’s a great device. According to the web page it supports Switch, Vita, and 3DS. It’s really nice that Nintendo is working with Soulja Boy to make their games playable on another system.

And more then 3,000 ROMs! In the picture it looks like the Japanese Pokèmon is going to be in it, and Zelda and the Incredibles game. I’m sure he got the rights from Nintendo to legally sell those ROMs.

that's what I said. I'd bet he doesn't even rebrand them, you'd get the exact same box you'd get from the chinese sellers.

It’ll be funny if the Soulja Boy Chinese knock off emulates PS1 better the the PS classic.

I can tell you that the RS97 (handheld one) does not. I do not know about the """""4K"""" console, though. What I can tell you is that even the PSP can emulate PS1 games better than the PS Classic.

EDIT: btw, here is his full "Soulja"-Line shop inventory, available on aliexpress except for the """SouljaHeadphones""" as they didn't show up on the first result page on aliexpress (i think they actually do).

    """SouljaWatch""": https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Sli...SIM-TF-Camera-Smartwatch-For/32854809679.html
    """SouljaPhone""": https://www.aliexpress.com/item/HOM...Display-Octa-core-13MP-Front/32859866252.html
    """SouljaPods""": https://www.aliexpress.com/item/I7s...ireless-For-Iphone-For-Apple/32933079187.html
    """SouljaPad""": https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4-3...a-tab-gift-for-baby-and-kids/32719790879.html
    """SouljaHeadphones""": https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Fre...c-Support-TF-Card-for-iPhone/32757109028.html

basically everything in his shop is just some generic item from china marked up about 100%. These are not designed for, by or with soulja boy, he just buys this shit in bulk from alibaba, and sells it to people who fall for his """"brand""""

PSP is part emulation part simulation.

PSP does better then the PS3. PS3 has problems with deinterlacing for Tekken 3 that the psp with av out doesn’t have.

granted, the PSP might have had it easy because both the Playstation and the PSP are RISC based. But Vita and PS TV are ARM based, surely they must use emulation.

afaik, the PS2 had PS hardware built in or was at least capable of running in a "PSX" compatible mode. Not sure if the PSX Emulation on PS3 was fully software based but tbh, we don't really want to turn this into a PS Classic discussion. There are plenty of topics where we can rage about that abomination :)
