I really dont like to occupy the forum with idiot questions, but after I searched among millions of pages and did not find the solution, I did not have other choice than to open this thread.

all began from the moment that I wanted to see dvd in my wii.
I am in the 3.2 E and i downloaded from homebrew browser dvdx and Mplayer.
it asked me to install first patchmii. I say ok, this should be easy.
    I found two patchmii versions:
    patchmii core.dol and Cios_patchmii_installer-rev05.
the second I put it in apps folder and did not become nothing. hbc it does not see the folder.
I did not find a way to do the install and I do not know if this is also the right patch for my problem.

the first one (patchmii_core.dol) I could not find a way to install it also, even if I read thousands pages in this forum but also in google.
can somebody help me in order to see dvd?
which of the two patches I really need and how can i install it?

    thanx

    sorry for my english.. [IMG]

You don't need PatchMii unless you have a modchip.

I order to run .dol files form Homebrew Channel you need a folder for each one in the apps folder. The .dol has to be renamed to boot.dol, a meta.xml and an icon.png are a good idea, too. Check the Homebrew Channel homepage about this.

The second file is a .wad, right? if so you need wad manager/wad installer (or anything else i haven't herd of) to install it.
you can get both from wii.waninkoko.info.

correct me if I am wrong on anything, as I do not have a modchip

    unfortunately no my friend
    nothing is in .wad mode
(i allready have wad manager 3.. i try to install the dols via wad manager but it does not recognize them..)
the first one is patchmii core.dol
the second (Cios_patchmii_installer-rev05) is a folder that contains two subfolders (data and source) three files: cios_patchmii_installer-rev05.dol, COPYING, Makefile
    and one readme file...

    ps
maybe wiipower has right.. i ll try it and i hope it will work.
but i thought there must be a way to install the dol via a program..
