If you have to worry about whether something is worth the download and trying ... something that doesn't take more than a few minutes, really, then ... well, you don't want to hear the rest of my answer ...

Its an ok game, nothing special but not a complete waste of time but why take other peoples word for it? There are many games out there that people love that many don't love and vice versa.

Incorrect on at least 7 different levels, you sure you playing the right game?

To OP: It's like a dummied version of Super Robot Wars, it has a "War Room" like Advance Wars, but thats about as far as the similarities go.

I second the Super Robot Wars similarities. You can upgrade equipment by making them for a cost. The new equipment shows on the battle animations, which are really stellar for the DS. It also has a card collecting feature that lets you build a deck of powerups to be used once per battle, which really turns the tide (if used correctly). The experience system is also different, as all units receive the same amount of experience, and you only receive it at the end of each level. What makes this different is that there is a bonus experience you can give to 1 of your drones. And to the Badlands, which is like AW's War Room, I found it almost necessary to play because it gives good experience with which you can fight your opponents better (and it'll be hard in the long run I presume if you do not use the badlands because you will be severely underleveled), it gives you money to build new equipment, and some treasures can be found in the maps as well. It's a good game, albeit kiddy.

One of the worst DS games I've played,I quit playing after the 2nd battle,it's so bad and boring.

Played this for a while last night and I actually enjoyed it a lot. It might seem like an AW rip-off but it's still an excellent (and somewhat original to an extent) strategy game.

It is very fun, but it gets sort of repetitive, considering where im at you have to kill tons of bad guys with only 4 drones and a snail...
I am still waiting for the bad doods to join me!

Yeah, pretty much. It's a little more straight-forward, I think, and a little easier to pick up and play, but of course, it lacks the depth of AW. And though I don't think much about the story and dialogue of either AWDS game, Drone Tactics manages to be much worse. But it's still an enjoyable strategy game, and the 3-D battle scenes are a nice treat. The customizable elements are pretty cool, too. I don't remember being given the option to add weapons to various units in AW, nor change the look -- both of which you can do in Drone Tactics.

Uh, because it is like Advance Wars. Whether you like it or not, it shares many similarities. If, for nothing else, the simple fact that it is a strategy game and Advance Wars is the most popular strategy game on Nintendo's portable system.

Personally, I like Drone Tactics better. It's easier and more fun so far.
