it is both interesting and nice to see sony act in such a nice manner. The only downside is I still recall the not to long ago bit where they got broken into ~_~ don't really think I want to buy another system if they let that happen again. Sure its one of those things to happen to anyone but the way sony went about it, just pissed me off.

Good interview. Hopefully the PSV security isn't too tight though

Hopefully they keep their promise and keep releasing QUALITY games for the PSV throughout it's lifespan, like they say in this interview. If they have really learned from the PSP, like they say, the PSV is going to be the best handheld from the last 2 generations.

I hope it is. I don't want to see it being full of pirates, cheaters and shit on the first two years, at least.

Homebrewers can develop code on Android to put on it for a really cheap price. I don't see excuses for people wanting this open. Proprietary systems aren't mean to be open, anyway (unless it's an open system, of course).

From what I've seen, all the Japanese heads of companies are humble and have their heads on straight. It's the American heads that are kind of "prickly"

Saying all of them are is not right, there is always an exception. In this case, Wada from Square-Enix immediatly pop in my head. That man is basicly Bobby Kotick, but as a japanese. He is the incarnation of evil and Square-Enix should get rid of him as soon as possible by any means they see fit.

The guy actually pointed out the flaws of the PSP and address the 3DS in a professional manner.
Excited for the Vita myself actually but this interview got me even more excited and has my hopes high for Sony's next handheld.
(Just in case you read that wrong, I'm talking about the Vita not a new New handheld.)

But Nintendo rarely says anything bad about Sony and we hack them. Does that mean if they insult Sony then we should have less of a drive to hack Nintendo systems?

Fact: We hack stuff for homebrew and piracy. I find it really dumb for people to try and justify their hacking and eventual piracy with this whole "fight the power" notion.

The Go isn't the same as the PSP. It was an experiment, to see if a DD only portable would work. Clearly it doesn't. It's not a bad portable for new users of the PSP, though. It has some cool features.

That's why Vita isn't DD only, but pushes DD and retail at same time.

iPhone and all that work on pure-digital just fine.

People hated the Go because it was called the PSP Go and was the next "line" of the PSP (it's model N1000) like the DSi was the next "line" of the DS series, but unlike the DSi removing backwards compatibility with the previous generation (such as with the PS3 models slowly removing PS2 compatibility) the PSP Go removed compatibility with many titles for the PSP itself, which was the killer point in the minds of most people.

If it was just niche titles it wouldn't be so bad, but when something like Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep isn't playable on a Go outside of hacking the thing and playing an ISO, it's a serious consideration for many people.
