The Hacker News sent us a tip this evening documenting a couple of vulnerable web pages on SonyMusic.co.jp that allowed hackers to access their contents through SQL injection.

[...]

The good news? The database information that was published does not contain names, passwords or other personally identifiable information. The attackers noted that there are two other databases on the site that are vulnerable and it remains unclear whether they contain sensitive information.

It isn't clear whether the hackers are able to inject data into the database, or simply access the tables and records it contains. If they are able to alter the records, this could be used to insert malicious code that could be used to compromise people browsing the site.

SQL injection just like the Greek section.
Isn't that considered a pretty damn amateur mistake nowadays?

Is PSN Store up? it was supposed to be up today but I cant test right now.
I hope they can get out of this dilemma.
I'm getting the maintenance error, but it's different than normal in that when I exit the message I'm kicked out of the store (not allowed in anyways like before), and the "back" text is in Japanese instead of English this time.

7 times? I think sony will have to really be quick to check ALLLL its services and websites and probably their other sections such as tvs and stuff may also have their information published. They have to act quick before the hackers go for the big things.

AND TODAY'S WEEKLY SONY HACK IS..... THE SONY MUSIC JAPAN SQL INJECTION!!!
*Applauds*

Either:
1. No one likes Sony
or
2. Sony's cyber security is a POS.

Actually, when someone's mean to you a lot it actually means they truly like you and are scared to show affection directly.
