In an interview with Financial Times, Sony executive Andrew House has confirmed the existence of a new, more powerful version of their home console, codenamed "Neo,". He added that it is “intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4" and that “we will be selling both through the life cycle.” However it will not be unveiled at this year's E3.

Me and shaunj66 were talking about this the other day, they'll save it for TGS. They won't want the general public in the know until this Xmas is over, to give them time to shift 'old' PS4s. That's why they've talked to the FT about it today, so the news is out it won't be at E3 and all the E3 coverage won't be just about negative WHY NO NEOZ!!?? DISAPPOINT!
