Since friday we have a Sony E870 blu ray home cinema set. the main function works perfect (playing blu rays and dvd's with Exelent quality)
But, when I try to link the sound of the tv (a Sony KDL-40W5500) to the E870 to play the sound trough the speakers of the E870 It won't work -.-" I have read both manuals 3 times and tried (as far as I know) every setting with the optical cable, a audio (wich worked fine on a older dvd set) and just the HDMI cable (with the theater setting).
Can someone help me with this, cos I don't have any more ideas.
edit. great, seems I am screwed. When I was searching the Sony site I stumbled across a notification that certain serial numbers of the E870 and E370 have a problem (not named in the article) and my E870 is within the problem serials ....
