Yeah I meant I hope Rockstar releases the game on the PS5, not on the next console (PS6 ?)

Do they have auto drifting feature too? Like the joystick automatically move for you when you don't touch it.

It's not, it is more similar to haptic triggers xbox uses. According to Nintendo fanboys everybody steals from them

I can damn near guarantee they're gonna double-dip with a PS5 release of the FF7 remaster, and Rockstar will do the same with RDR2. Everything else is still up in the air at this point.

My prediction: fancy feedback gimmicks end up being underwhelming and underused, but library of games is decent, so it's fine in the end.

Probably you will be able to count with Gran Turismo 7 and Cyberpunk 2077 (even though it's supposed to be released for current gen, but the release date kept stretching and will probably be close to the new console and with the visuals they show it's most likely on something similar to PS5 or the Next Xbox...).

Death stranding will probably also glow on the Next Gen and some others...

ps: And anyway if the console is really retro compatible with PS4 I'm sure you will have a HUGE library and probably even run them better than on the PS4 Pro...

In order to cut prices, maybe it's better if Sony releases PS5 just with minimum SSD storage (ex : 256 GB), and leave users with the possibility to add extra storage as they wish...

I've been holding off on getting a ps4 since it's backwards compatible ^_^ The 4k player will be nice if I can just plug my external hard drive into it to play movies. my tv can't use more than 2tb -.- I just hdmi movies from my pc lol.

256GB would be stupid too when the PS4 comes with up to 1TB...

Just wished it would come with a normal Sata III SSD of at least 1TB, but sadly from what they said it looks more like it will be some kind of M.2 with Nvme support, its good and bad because it probably won't be user replaceable without loosing warranty and it's always more expensive to go M.2 and more restricted than the common Sata III which still has way more than plenty enough speed for anything, never seen much difference in any test on any game from a fast Sata III to a super fast expensive M.2 Nvme, hell even windows doesn't start up much more faster...

Amazing would be coming really with 1TB M.2 Nvme fast SSD and having an extra Sata III port for user HDD\SSD extra space upgrading, but mehh it will never happen, I mean it would be too much to ask :(...

Prices are dropping... The idea of 1TB M2 still seems outlandish though! ...But there's the fact that this'll be using PCI-E 4.0, which is still a bit of an unknown quantity: a relatively low budget SSD might work wonders with PCIE4 so that might be what ends up going in the next consoles, rather than the high end M2's currently out there at the moment.
And the CPU gains here are massive too: night & day difference between the current gen of consoles! I don't see there being much of a jump over the Xbox One X in terms of GPU power, particularly in the rumoured ' base' models that Sony (and almost certainly MS) are preparing, but with such a jump elsewhere, bring it on! And this will jump will also help PC gamers too as consoles tend to be benchmarks when making a game: we should see a big difference on PC when these get released too!

    I forgot
NVMe's aren't that much more expensive anymore, you can grab a 1TB 970 Evo NVMe for only $170, which is only $40 than a 1TB 860 Evo SATA SSD at $130 from Samsung, which isn't that much at all when you consider the massive boost in read/write speeds.

And those are just the "top of the line" SSDs that are generally good, you could cheap out with a 1TB Intel 660p for only $110 if you wanted and have no issues, too.

Though I do agree that they could have just used SATA drives and be fine (and it's still not concrete that they're only using NVMe for storage and don't have a secondary storage, or that it can't be upgraded at all), I imagine the only reason they can install and load games "SUPER DUPER FAST" as they claim is because they're designing the PS5 to completely max out the 4.0 PCIe bandwidth for reading storage, hence why they could load Spider-man levels at "0.5 seconds" vs the 8 seconds or whatever the base PS4 version does.

That said, I think the triggers are a good idea. Just wish they were on motion controls.

Would they double-dip those, when they have backwards compatibility?

Of course they will, they'll slightly bump the resolution, probably up the fps vs the PS4 versions, and then resell it as "remastered" for full or slightly discounted price.

It would be backward compatible with PS4 games because it would simply use the same arhitecture (but improved with more feautures ofc) as the PS4 consoles...... not because Sony necessarily wanted it that way but simply because of the same CPU arhitecture (similar how it is on he PC front). So, PS2 compatibility will be 99.99% there on PS5 as well because its already on PS4.... I dont see why not.

And because the PS5 will be powerful enough, they could include atleast a perfect software emulation for PS1 games without overheads (they could even remaster some PS1 titles, I bet it would sell well). Only PS3 backward compatibility is very questionable.
