And then their databases get hacked and people find out that Sony stored all their credit-card information in plain-text.
Is this serious.
Sony must be VERY stupid for trying this.
Is it wrong my first though was "I wonder what the interest rates are like?"
Does this allow Sony to see all your purchases?
Wouldn't it be easier to make something similar to Club Nintendo( and just use the internet passes codes? )
Should be less info leak if hacked.
Sony, you just gone darn goof'd.
Sony will never learn the lesson
this is just the more stupid thing that i never heard before
knowing sony, the back of the card will have a scratch off with the cardholder's pin number.
sony tech 1: r u sure this is enough to protect users' information?
sony tech 2: what r u talking about? no one can get through such a hi-tech security system--no one!
I'm no genius here lads but I imagine this to be merely a Playstation branded Capitol One card. With Capitol One doing the credit card stuff.
Spending $5000 to get $50 worth of PSN points really doesn't seem like a good deal to me.
I just now tried to apply, but apparently they need a vial of my blood before they can process my request.
Japan and their blood types.
I like Sony. But I don't want this credit card. Might in the future but not now.
What The Fuck is what i first thought, only an idiot with a lot of money would get this. The interest rates are insane, you might as well get a regular credit card and the buy games with the money you save by not having a playstation credit card.
I introduce my trap card, it steals and hacks playstaton credit cards and information from sony.
*Claps* inb4MoronsWhoDon'tEvenHaveASonyProductYetMoanAboutTheirSecurityOhWaitThey'reAlreadyHere this is the exact move that I expected them to do - a Credit Card that will not only have limited assets in case of another system breach, a card that will also "generate" free points as you use it.
As stated earlier, the interests rates are high, but there's a reason behind this - it's a PLAYSTATION Credit Card, it's supposed to be used to buy PLAYSTATION products. You "put some money" on your CC, buy sh*t, put more money on your CC while your everyday CC isn't anywhere near the damn PS3 which happens to be a target for hackers from all around the world.
PS fanboys are very stupid. They live for paid DLC. If a game comes on a disc that is complete - it will not sell. It must have the option to BUY new shit. Millions of them will think this is 'awesome'.
Sony know this, and capitalone know sony knows this.
sony playstation survives on rich stupid people.
Nintendo know most people are clever. If they get this SHIT mostly for free, they buy more games. Nintendo credit card eshop and dsiware purchases are per item and no credit card info is ever saved. =safe =more people are happier to use it.
these opinions are mine alone.
"Live in your world, become debt ridden in ours."
a playstation credit card? I think I'd be safer walking down the street while waving a thousand dollars in the air.
