SEGA had previously announced that they'd be working on a Sonic 3 movie DLC for their latest title, Sonic X Shadow Generation, and just as The Game Awards were live, the brand new update became available for the game.

Based on the upcoming "Sonic The Hedgehog 3" movie, this new DLC for Sonic X Shadow Generations adds a whole new stage on the streets of Shibuya, located in Tokyo, alongside assets and enemies based on the movie. Additionally, the new DLC also adds both a new skin for Shadow resembling his movie design and a new voice by none other than Keanu Reeves (Shadow's voice in the movie).

When transported to an unknown dimension, Shadow must race through the streets of modern-day Shibuya to defeat the forces of G.U.N.
Take on a new look as Shadow and play through a unique level inspired by the new movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, featuring the voice of Keanu Reeves!

Sonic X Shadow Generations: Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack DLC is available right now for Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store and Steam.

We've gotten a bunch of stuff, and the movie hasn't even released yet, I wonder if it's theoretically possible to shape the entire story of the 3rd Sonic movie with what Sega provided before the movie even releases. I wonder why.

I have to agree… I mean its keanu alright, but this is just his normal voice and the voice that he use as johnny silverhand, it doesn’t really sounds like shadow

he's also probably given some bad voice direction too, the voice acting in current sonic games have always been kinda on the bland and generic-sounding side

i really liked the game but if its just one level, i don't think its worth it, they always had good opportunities to release post launch leveel packs for the OG generations but never did, and now with shadow generations they could do it, but it seems they wont do much

I was always disappointed by the lack of Generations 2..... doesn't help for me that was the last Sonic Team game released that I really liked (disappointing last level and boss aside).

yeah i feel that, but for me the thing was always, why not more level packs through DLC, for years i thought about that because it makes sense, i feel this is why people mod this game so much

I agree with this
They went back to the Adventure style mouth, and I prefer it over the sideoutb that they gave all the characters starting from Heroes and onwards.
