    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Well it sounds like they're really keen on this...but they always are. XD

Still, I look forward to every Sonic game and this time it's no different!

Yeah, this was actually confirmed on some other site last week, or the week before ... I forget lol

They had a clip of it running, too.

Looks too much like Secret of the Rings, to me.

Still, maybe it won't suck ... and maybe flaming winged rabbits will fly out of my ass [IMG] lol

I'm looking forward for this Sonic game since it looks like it has 2d gameplay..

Not sure if a Wii version is good news.. it will probably be a lot inferior compared to the 360/PS3 one, and considering that a PS2 version is also announced it will be probably just a port of that one..

Poor sonic... He hasn't seen good games in a while. Hopefully this game will get him back in shape...

Watch the gameplay footage for it ... at least half the gameplay seems to be in a 3D enviroment.

From the video it looks like in side view you hold down right and jump occasionally, like in most 2D style Sonic games since Sonic Advance 2. Hopefully I'm wrong and it'll be more like Sonic 1, 3, Sonic & Knuckles & Sonic CD.

I liked Sonic Rush but Sonic Rush Adventure really bored me with just running in the same direction. Still could be fun, I'll give it a go that's for sure and look forward to it and at least it looks like it'll be nothing like the last gen 3D Sonic games or the dreadful 360 game.

Dammit PS2. Die already and maybe developers will stop making half-assed ports of your games to the Wii.

Seriously tho, I hope this game is as good or better then Sonic and the Secret Rings...

Well, from what I've read, Sega's supposed to be making this game more in the vein of the two DS Sonic platformers, and that can only be a good thing.

But I'll tell you this right now: anyone who's been creaming their pants over those screenshots needs to come to terms with the reality that those are not screens for the Wii. I can almost guarantee that. Sure, we'll see a Wii version, but it won't look that good.

Graphic wise Id rather have 2D sprites anyway.
I do hope the level layout feels more like Sonic CD than Chatoix as that seems to be their influence with newer games.
Make big levels with repeated parts and forget what a floor is. Just put platforms everywhere.
Multible routes with drops only taking you down to a lower route without worry of an endless pit.
Sonic Rush tried but didnt quite do it. (I blame dimps who did the level design x-x)

I think the Wii version will look better than the Secret Rings game since it looked pretty decent.
Though the fact its on PS2 really seems like a bad omen. We've got that PS2 look too many times now.

Heres hoping they use Sonic CD and the earlier classic as a bible and follow the parts that made the game flow and rewarding to play.
It seems like they just forget level design and give sonic an instant dash move to make up for it :/
Save that for Super Sonic play, where running into walls is forgivable.
Oh also checkpoints and special stages you dont have to hunt down everytime. Would be nice....

I love sonic games, but after being burned so many times I probly wont pick this up till I see how it is first.
Was kinda hoping they'd stick to a Wii Exclusive but ah well.

Sonic games have gone downhill lately. [IMG]

    They're just crap.

Sonic Team should stick with 2D stuff instead of all this "Zero Gravity" etc 3D crap

I wonder how different the Wii version will be to the 360.
Wish there were some console-specific screen shots.
I'll probably get the 360 version because about 30% of how awesome this game is going to be is going to rely on how pretty it looks.

The last good Sonic game was Adventure 2 Battle (GCN) if they can have sonic RUN, then I'll be happy. As long as the games rely on skill, and not "luck" or "you died here, now redo the whole level so we can put another instant death thing right after it" then i'll be happy.

I hope this is a lot better than the secret rings, because that game sucked.
I'm looking forward to it, but if it turns out that it's just as crap as the secret rings, then I'm gonna get disappointed. [IMG]

I never played a lot of 3D sonic games and the ones I did were absolutely horrible.
I think Sonic is made for 2D and the sprites just add to the whole feeling.

no you WILL be disappointed, it will be no different from secret rings, i ain't getting my hopes up for this game and you should do the same.

this game WILL NOT be the next game that brings sonic back to his roots
sonic will never be as good as his megadrive days EVER the past few games proves that.
