If you've been waiting for news on the latest game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise you're in luck, though it might not be quite what you expected. Tabletop gaming company Steamforged Games quietly announced that it's working on a physical Sonic the Hedgehog card game, appropriately titled Sonic the Card Game. The game was confirmed in an upcoming releases announcement via the Steamforged website. The only other information offered via the announcement was this general descriptor of the game:

Sonic’s the name, and speed is the game—literally! Join the beloved blue blur in a competitive card racing game where you’ll collect power-ups and rings to win.

It’s fast family fun you’ll race through again and again.

Sega has yet to announce anything about this upcoming card game featuring the blue blur. Details such as pricing and release date are still unknown, though the announcement indicates that it'll be available sometime in 2021.

Honestly Yu-Gi-Oh is probably the best card game ever made.... The last time I got into it was when they were doing XYZ Summons but now idk what they are doing... I wish they made some DLC for the Yu-Gi-Oh game on the switch...

Dueling Network was so much fun until Koonami shut it down.... Sonic shouldn't be a card game the same thing as DBZ...

Maybe Pokemon would be the closest but I never gotten into it nor do I know the rules. Yu-Gi-Oh conencted more with people in terms of the card games.
