This is the project formerly known as Needlemouse, yes? Looks like this may finally be the return to form the franchise was in dire need of. No more stupid gimmicks, just a blue hedgehog going stupidly fast through loops and corkscrews. Looking forward to this

I'm shocked its coming to Wii. And surprised they went 3d graphics. Pretty boring 3d graphics I must say. Would have preferred some reallyyyyy nice sprites. but whatever, I'm still getting it.....I mean pirating.

Why shocked? The last Sonic games had better sales with the Wii version, not to mention the sales of NSMBW that shows that this kind of game works on the console. NOT making a Wii version would be stupid.

Well.. till now everything looks great, but it's still SEGA and Sonic.. they still can find a way to mess it up.

I updated the first post with a pic and the official website. If you look at the countdown on the website, we are due for some news on Friday.

Also...there is an unannounced platform for the game. If you look at the pic in my post, there is a box that is locked next to WiiWare.

I'm guessing PC or maybe even some plug and play thing since they have that new weird console thing.

Now if we could just play sonic cd on the wii somehow...

EDIT: I guess you can play Sonic CD on "Sonic Gems" for Gamecube, but ideally we could use the classic controller. So meaning as a VC game or via emu. They have TG16 CD games as VC titles, I don't see why we can't get Sonic CD as a VC title...

This is exactly what I expected from Project Needlemouse. I didn't really expect an "episode 1" though, but I did imagine that they'd release a few games on WiiWare, PSN and XBLA.

I wonder what the fourth platform will be. Finally a new Sega console?

I was really worried about the Episode thing until he made the Sonic 3 and Knuckles comparasion. I feel a lot better now. I'm also really really damn surprised the Wii's getting it. This means I can actually play it. Huh.

Sega COULD just take Sonic 1 Megamix, alter the parts they don't own (some graphics, music, and Mighty) and package it as a new game.

Seriously, that would work, that romhack was so good it was like a new game.
