Some of us are old enough to remember the release of Sonic and Knuckles, with its unique lock-on technology. That was the Sega that had BLAST PROCESSING, and everything that Nintendon't! Tugging a little at our nostalgic heartstrings, lock-on technology makes a pseudo return for Episode II.

Those that own Episode 1 will get a special treat -- Episode Metal will unlock in Episode 2, giving players four new levels to conquer and Metal Sonic as a playable character.

Sonic spindashes onto PSN May 15th, and XBLA May 16th.

If Sega fixes the problems from the first game then I might give this one a shot. It's been a while since I have played a Sonic game.
