The long awaited trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has arrived. We get our first look at Keanu Reeves as Shadow alongside a bevy of returning characters.

The previous two Sonic movies have garnered over $319M in box office grosses worldwide and this movie looks to be shaping up to another smash hit when it hits screens on December 20th of this year.

Ha, when the topic was discussed a while ago, I agreed that Keanu Reeves would make a good Shadow. It looks like the rumors were true.

I haven't seen the second Sonic movie, but I thought the first one was ok. Very modern with its shameless Oliver Garden ads and "humans/Earth + CG character" scenario, but not awful either. People say the second movie is a good watch, so I'm glad the series is continuing.

Oh my goodness, I never played that game long enough to see if Shadow finds the computer room, but I hope the filmmakers are aware of that game's legacy.

If they can pull off a subtle gag without the usual Hollywood neon signs, wink at the audience, and "what's up fellow kids" business, then it might actually be funny.
