So SEGA have released information about their newest installment in the popular series.
"SONIC LOST WORLD" is a brand new exclusive 3D sonic experience that takes elements from Sonic X-Treme [A cancelled Saturn game] and Super Mario Galaxy.
You will switch between 2D and 3D in this game.
There are new enemies called "The Deadly Six"
The engine used in this game is not the Hedgehog Engine that was used in Sonic Generations; It is a brand new engine.

Now for the part no-one expected due to what happened with 3DS Sonic Generations.
The 3DS version of Sonic Lost World is in FULL 3D

    Nintendo 3DS

    Nintendo Wii U

So which version will you be getting?
I'm gonna be picking up the 3DS Version over the Wii U, Purely for the fact that the Wii U is still pretty expensive and this game marks the first ever portable 3D sonic game.

If the game receives good reviews, then I'll end up getting both versions of the game. If its a mediocre game, I'll probably just get the 3DS version.

    Just a minor update
Got the box arts for both versions.

Note the Nintendo Network logos, This confirms there's online play or some form of online in the games. This makes me double hyped, 3D sonic online races.

I guess I lost my soul

In the trailer thread I said that I bet my soul if the 3ds version was a 2d side scroller.

Even i had bet that it was a 2D side-scroller, but it seems we were all wrong this time, Plus this isn't developed by dimps, if it was perhaps it would have been 2D.

If it is good and they are actually two separate games, I'll get both.

3D sonic on a handheld. Sega only needs one more thing to make this the best game ever. Chao garden.

i don't really care about chao garden, it was useless and boring back then and it will be now. i don't really see sega including it on a mayor sonic game again but i guess it could be a eshop game

I wouldn't be surprised if the 3ds version was being developed first. The graphics look about the same. So the Wii-U version isn't pushing the Wii-u very hard.

I may end up getting the 3DS version, because it will probably be the closest we get to Super Mario Galaxy 3DS.

Wait a minute, it IS based on Sonic Xtreme??

That's hilarious, because the first thing I thought when I saw the trailer was "damn, this looks a LOT like Sonic Xtreme," and I didn't even know. XD

Anyway, excited for this. If there are enough differences between the two versions, I'll probably get both.

I wonder what those multiplayer modes are. I expect a race mode, but what else?
