Screw Crabmeat bring back Shell Cracker, Shell Cracker screws you over especially with their placement in the areas most likely for death, Crabmeat can't hit a dead donkey.
This might be one of the best Sonic games of the 21st century if not all time.
This is good news. Only other character I'd have accepted would been Tails... but just Sonic is good too. 2D only (or 2D gameplay with 3D look & camera tricks) + Sonic only = Classic Fun Sonic... or we will at least wait and hope this is so.
Hopefully, NeedleMouse will be good!
I hope Sega releases it for the Wii but they did say it would be in 'HD' and only for 'HD' platforms. If that's true, then I hope they'll also release for the PC.
New 2D Sega game where only character is Sonic. Yes please
Thank god, actual badniks returning!
For a while it's just been GUN bots and a buncha robots that look like Eggman.
Reading from qj: "The katakana there says "Punch Crab". Metropolis Zone crab enemy anyone?"
I want it in the game, that thing is badass.
I'm waiting for the inevitable "twist" where sonic has guns, or turns into a werewolf, or something else ridiculous.
That shouldn't happen.
It has been happening a lot for Sonic games lately so I woodnt count it out.
I would have liked to see Tails as Sonics follower like in Sonic 2.
I still think the real Sonic revival was Sonic Unleashed, if you strike the Werehog-bulls**t off... In every way I think the daystages were a true Sonic experience!
I said it many times and I say it again: They should take Sonic 2 as the ultimate reference and everything will be good
I'm imagining that now in a 2D plane... it's not a pretty sight.
I would. These dumb Sonic titles we've mentioned have all gotten terrible reviews and bad fan reaction. I didn't even they sold all too well. A classic, 2-D Sonic without something dumb like a sword or a werewolf would make Sonic fans giddy as well as get that overwhelming praise from critics.
As for Hop's comment about "best Sonic game of 21st century", so far, that's not too hard. You've had Sonic Adventure games, their remakes, the GBA Sonic ports, and the Wii games. The Dreamcast games were pretty good, the remakes were meh, the GBA ports were still ports, and the Wii games were awful. The only competition comes from the DS games, which had Sonic Rush (which was awesome) and Sonic Rush Adventure (which was Sonic Rush but a lot worse). This isn't counting the spin-off games, of course.
SEGA if you make this Sonic by according to your words then I will buy not only 1 game but 2 more to share it with other people to show that SEGA finally coming to their senses.
SEGA I'm afraid you is just like Obama...STOP PROMISING!!!
it's about fucking time.
Wow, I never heard about this game but its good news.
The Advance ones weren't ports and the first Sonic Advance was actually pretty good, the other two though were just the usually "press right and jump a bit", hopefully this wont be like that and more like the original MD games.
Hopefully Sonic Team wont be involved, they can't do platformers anymore seeing that most of the original staff has left.
I don't really care who's involved. But the fact that Sega makes a Sonic game with no one but Sonic shows that this time there really listening to the fans... or at least more than usual. Now let's hope Needlemouse will be also released on Wii, then I'm happy.
