Sonic Colors Demo hits Nintendo Channel in US

The DS demo of Sonic Colors has hit the north american Nintendo Channel on the Wii, featuring the first act from Tropical Resort.
Upon immediate play it's obvious that this is effectively just Sonic Rush 3, but it has a lot more going for it.
New abilities include mid-air boosting, sliding, wall jumping and Wisp power-ups



The demo is also available on the EU Nintendo Channel, since Halloween.[/p]

My personal opinion of it is that it's better than Sonic 4 to say the least, I want to give it a proper go later than just on an emulator.

I won't link to ROMs, but the demo is piss easy to find if you happen to frequent a certain sonic fansite.

And yes, the demo rom is out and about if you look for it.

Regarding the game itself, while it is basically a sonic rush 3 I did find enjoyment from it. The act can be played at least twice with two distinct ways through the level. You can also play the entire act without using the Boost if you don't want to use it. I will likely be doing that or using it sparingly for the final game as boost is just boring to me.

EUR demo has been out since forever, way before the US one.

No difference between them except the ESRB notice.

Lol. Actually it makes a change having something localised into UK english that isn't FOSS (it's about the only thing that really pisses me off with Windows 7). I know that US spellings are technically "correct alternatives" in UK english and vice versa, but it's nice seeing the little bit of effort put in.

i expected this to be exactly like the rush games not that the rush games are bad mind you i just found them to be incredibly boring all you do is pretty much push forward now and than you'll jump

looking forward to the wii version this is the sonic game that finally does 3d right!
