Sonic news is on the way. With the 30th anniversary of the franchise set to take place just next month, SEGA is finally ready to give fans a look at what they can expect from the blue blur. On May 27th, a "first look" at the upcoming projects, events, and partnerships will be shown, courtesy of a live stream scheduled for 9am PT/12pm ET. If the rumors are true, we may just see Sonic Colors Ultimate Edition or a Sonic Anniversary Collection that includes Sonic 3. For now, we wait. You can catch the live reveals on the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitch or YouTube page, or tune into our news coverage to see what gets confirmed.

I would honestly be content with a new Sonic game being announced, and maybe, just maybe, a remaster for Sonic Adventure DX for PC( Sonic Adventure 2 Battle would also be nice as a remaster ).

it would be amazing to see a follow on from sonic mania, give the gang a new adventure and some new mini games inside that if you fail to win or complete them it has consequences to the gameplay throughout unless you win the mini games you lost and reverse the damage... nothing too cheesy, maybe some puzzles, mazes and other various ways to make you think to win emeralds or special super rings to give you powers for a limited time

my kid who works at SEGA said they've been secretly working on sonic adventure 3, and he is currently polishing and finetuning the chao garden, with a mario-party level of mini-games.

One proviso: it has to be good.

3D Sonic needs a reboot and to ditch the boost crap. There's so much potential there ( see Sonic Utopia ) but none of the 3D games do it for me (Adventure 1 came close with true momentum based platforming but a lot of that game is a hot mess)

Hopefully the collection gets announced and it includes 3K by Taxman. That would be a dream reveal for me I know we have Sonic 3 AIR now but a new release with them all in one place on console would be fantastic.

More importantly, before anything else in the universe, SEGA needs to stop imposing a ridiculous timeline on Sonic Team, and give them time to flesh out a game without it suddenly getting rushed.

I feel really sorry for all the people praying for SA3... because the reason Sega ditched the formula was because they MADE an SA3, and its name is Sonic '06. When a ship sinks, they don't send more ships- even if it sunk because that specific ship was literally on fire in a way no other ship afterward would plausibly be.
