Im sure im not the only one with this problem but I must ask it..

I installed the PAl mario Kart on an NTSC system something I swore I would never do and damn if I didn't!

I than got the us version and I used the PAL channel removal tool and removed the update (or I think I did!)

I than ran the USA version of Mario Kart but now when I go into the Wii system menu I can go to the Storage Devices Wii/SD card sections but when I attempt to go into system setup where you configure the Wii and do updates I get a webbrowser error message and it hangs up..

I am unbale to access the Wii Shop as it requires a new update that I do not have so I can not play wiiware titles either it seems.

I have tried to reinstall Mario kart USA but I can not find a way to FORCE a re-update on the Wii.

Is there a way to force the newest USA update on the Wii either through some kind of button combo while loading or brute force?

Is there a tutorial for this or am I SOL?

Should I install a new PAL update or something?

You were meant to use the USA version of the channel removal.

How is that? I have a USA Wii and I installed PAL Mario Kart which than updated my NTSC menu system to wii I surmise so I used the Pal removal tool...

Your saying I need to remove the USA channel? would simply running the USA removal tool and reinserting Mario Kart Wii USA fix the problems Im having?

Ouch... You'll have to wait for the next wave of firmware being on game disks. Or there could be a way to .wad up firmware and install it through TP.

I've heard that the Datel Freeloader may allow forced updates.

EDIT: You are supposed to use the Removal Tool that matches your Wii's region. You would've removed the USA channels by using the PAL tool. The channels you have would be the PAL ones.

I may have used the right one actually im not there now to tell I did this a few weeks ago and never tried to go into the system menu untill Wii Ware titles required a new shop update.

Now Im pretty much dead in the water.. Does any new games have a new firmware? I heard ironman does?

Did you use the latest version (2.1) of Duplicate channel remover ?
I think previous version don't remove, just "hide" the channels

used the OLD version. But your talking about Wii Channels not system menus right!?

I downloaded the newest one right now so tongiht when I get home I can try it out..

BTW forgive me there are two files an dol and elf file what do I do with them? I thought this needed to be an ISO for booting?

the instructions just say RUN THEM.. I forgot how I did that before. Anyone know?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, use the TP hack to load it . For reference, use this link.
You'll only need the elf file, renamed to boot.elf
    Code:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Use the specific version for your Wii!!

Use the Wii Update Manager to remove all the updates on the .isos that might affect your wii. Update online instead. I learned it the hard way semi-bricking my jap wii. We have the same problem. Hope the 3.2J update comes out soon on some game.
