Well, it's shorter to write those in hiragana or katakana than romaji sooo, let's just call it abuse or something.

LOL, it is good to have something to smile at first thing in the morning.

Don't think it is just their games that have long names. Some Anime is way out there too.

They just seem long because they are romanized.

And Japanese works much different than any latin language so really this is a pointless discussion.

Did you also notice they all have BLACK bars at the top of each label on the cartridge (where it says Nintendo DS) instead of white?

    Just sayin....

Truth indeed, you can't really call it long if you're romanizing it. That's like me translating English to Hungarian and calling it "long", if it fits on the box, who cares.

Even if the original language has less letters, the amount of syllables is the same. That still makes it ridiculously long...

You can't count the syllables as the same as well though really, because although it's the same, it's spoken differently. I might be able to say that in about 5 seconds in Japanese if I knew Japanese, but if you knew only how to read romanji and speak English, you might take over twice the time.

They're long but what the hell does it matter? Doesn't make the game any worse or better.

he wasnt saying anything about the quality of the game because of the amount of syllables it has lol. if you are to assume that than you're retarded. he was only mentioning that it's long (whether from a western perspective or not) and thats about as complicated as this thread gets.
