Probably not. I built mine on Android using my phone.

i think the probem is you guys are looking for sonic mania apk
retro engine v5 IS the sonic mania!

you get black screen because you dont have the game data file.
when you buy Sonic Mania PC version and install it, there is a Data.rsk in the installation folder. you need to copy that file to your phone, after installing the apk, to have the game up and running. sharing this Data file is the BIG no no here!

edit: I dont get why you guys need to build it yourself, if you already own the game

that's not the problem. we all have the data.rsdk. if we didn't, sound wouldn't play. this is a known problem, with multiple issues addressing it. it's supposed to be due to any phone not having the snap dragon chipset iirc. it's a work in progress. I don't know of an eta though. also, you need to compile it for android if you want it to be sonic mania "plus," with the dlc intact. the one you get on github has that disabled. I've verified that my build is plus on my mom's phone.

btw, I can help you compile it, whether you have video is another story as it's based on chipset currently. you need a snap dragon one. anyway, it's no where near as confusing as it seems from these steps. I was able to build it in android studio in windows while sm64 was built with the android sdk in linux.

The two do not show anything but if Sound, so you can only wait for the solution, by the way my phone is a Samsung Galaxy A31

it seems to be more common that video is not shown than is. I tested the official build several times, same problem. I know mine is the plus version, so anyone who can get video with the original version should download it to have dlc.
