Kay so this is my homework:
-Research a person you admire and present him/her in class.
Crap. You know I would've immediately chosen some awesome video-game designer or some dude that works at Nintendo, but people already make way too much fun of me in school 'cause of how my life = on the internet and not in malls/with friends.
So... Since I'm a temper and I probably have a lot of things in common with you, think of a person you admire that isn't a video-game designer [IMG] And tell my why in like 2 sentences. If I like that person, (which I probably will, cause you guys rock) then I will present about that person in class.
    Thanks.
PS. Yes I can tell we have a lot in common. The fact that you clicked on the link to enter this topic is so, me. [IMG] I would do the same [IMG]

She is extremely attractive. She is also very successful in her film career. Did I mention she is sexy beyond most reasoning?

The above may also be applied to Olivia Wilde and countless other female celebrities(though the successful film career thing varies).

For real: I don't actually admire anybody really that I can think of off the top of my head.

Three people I can name off the top of my head.

    1. Michael Jackson
    - Truly amazing artist that inspired and revolutionized the entire music industry. His songs are humane and are inspiring to us all.

    2. John D. Rockefeller
    - The richest man in history, his success story is truly an inspiration. With a hardworking and determined personality, he is a person that will forever be a legend.

    3. Mark Zuckerberg
    - The creator of the social networking site Facebook and the most important person of the year, his technological advancements shattered physical boundaries. Merely a college student when he started his now multi-billion dollar industry, he is now one of the richest and most influential people in the world.

I'm intentionally making these descriptions so you can use them while presenting also.

    5. Ellen DeGeneres
    - Both a comedian and a talk show host, she is the most hilarious and sensational face of noon time TV. Her charismatic and energetic demeanor always succeeds in making audiences happy.

    6. J.K. Rowling

I say become more cynical and game the system- this sort of assignment is not about what you like but what you can reasonably write about. As a rule of thumb you never have an opinion as far as tests and presentations go if you can more easily or more adequately justify another one- this goes double for subjects like first languages, some aspects of foreign languages (if you do not know the word for pet spider but you do not the word for cat you have a cat), religious studies and any of the more language heavy subjects.

You say you do not need attention from morons- great you are already started on the cynicism bit. High school ends in a few years and it the days will never return- often a "bad" revelation to the moron crowd.

Simple version- pick a sports star with a long career in a sport nobody cares for or against (golf is a good one- most will have family and friends that play it although they themselves will know less about it than say football/soccer and even if they do "I hit the driving range on occasion but not much else" is a pretty easy lie to spin). It is pretty easy to drum up someone with a "wrong side of the tracks" upbringing, maybe some injuries, maybe some drugs, some down seasons, a comeback, if you want to go back in time you might even be able to wind in some discrimination- you have your 5 minute presentation with all the bases covered.

I admire The Terminator! It's good looking, it won't stop until he's done with the task (or it's destroyed, but very hard to do that), it's very concentrated....

The people I admire are probably people you have no idea about

Matthew Reilly - He is an amazing Australian author who was rejected continuously, until he self-published his first novel. The response was immediate and he was signed for his next novels.
John Butler - a musician who mesmerises me with his music.

Honestly, this sint something we can do for you as everyone will have different people they admire.
