I don't get it. What has one thing to do with the other?
Homebrew is for launching apps on the Switch, the SwitchBru DNS is for using the built in Browser in some kind of "normal way" by making it possible to visit any site.
Apart from that it's got a chat system now which no homebrew has yet.
So where's anything between the two that can be compared in any way?
If you're saying "Why would I browse the web if I can enjoy thousands of retro games with pFBA on my Switch now?" I would've understood the question, maybe.
As a small personal note: I'd love to use the SwitchBru DNS but I don't wanna risk getting this weird system update notification that a few people are experiencing so I stick with the HBmenu DNS for now.
