Which is the best emulator available for playing those games? I'm using pSX now don't really have a good experience with it as when I played MegaMan X4 it keeps on freeing after defeating a boss.

What are some fairly good USB controller for playing them? By fairly good, I only want one with smooth buttons to press on, if possible just like the official Sony PSX controller that smooth.. The one I used to play with the games today at my friend's house was stiff like hell... Where can I order them online? Hopefully it's from sites like LighTake etc. that provide free shipping or just plain low shipping rates..

My PC spec's Pentium Dual-Core CPU @ 2.10GHz GPU: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family , will it be able to play the PS1 games at the best possible graphics? Just like you played it on a TV with a real PSX... I'll ask about the PS2 games as well but I don't think it's possible lol

IMO ePSXe is all of the games I tried ran at full speed, it's got a crapload of plugins, and the shaders are really interesting, they can give unique looks to the games you're playing. Also, it's much better than PSX.

Also, I use a Logitech F310 USB Gamepad for all of my PC games that can use it, it works very well.

    ePSXe

Wired xbox360 controller is the best gamepad for PC.

    Choice:

    ePSXe

I am using PSX gamepad adapter to my PC and it works great for ePSXe without a problem. Most games responsive to ePSXe with PSX gamepad adapter just fine. [IMG]

    Recommend:

    AdriPSX ILE
PSXjin (port of pcsx but better and I havent test it. You can try it too)
    PCSX Reloaded

Try them to your taste. [IMG]

The point of an emulator is to play the games at native speed/graphics. What people generally look for is the ability to go beyond that. Your specs are fine.

    As for the controller...

That with an actual PS2 controller.

Who would willingly use a PS controller.

That's just sick and wrong. Especially since a PS controller and 360 controller (button layout wise) are basically the same except thumbstick and dpad are switched to not feel like shit when gaming.

I've only got a PS2 controller, but if somebody wants to send me a 360 controller I could test. [IMG]

But then you'd be playing the PS1 with a 360 controller. WTF? That's why I like the Gamepad F310, I find it all around better than the 360 controller.

Like I said the layout is virtually identical.
Really. Put 'em side by side, or get screenshots and compare.

So it's more like "but then you'd be playing the PS1 with a vastly superior PS-like controller"
