Hacking some games work on R4 sdhc lite 2019, most dont

hi guys,
this is really crazy! i even suddenly did format my main external 4 tb hard drive because of this
i bought a R4 SDHC rts lite that looks authentic and its for 2019 (silver ones) (r4isdhc.com)
i downloaded several kernel firmware including the legit ones from website
but this R4 wont play most of the games on my dsi for no reason!
i can play new super mario bros! but it cant play mario 64 ds!
my nintendo dsi's firmware is 1.4.5U (latest to my knowledge) and i tried legit kernels
this is really making me crazy
the sd card is totally brand new (samsung 8 gb)
i did format it and redo the process a thousand times! no luck
my dsi also seems ok cause when i used a R4 SDHC dual-core with another 8 gb sd card inside (for a friend) it played all roms just find and quick even though the flash card was for like 4-5 years ago

ANYONE ANY IDEAS?

Try using RetroGameFan's YSMenu, don't plan on doing the dual-boot method as game compatibility worsen.

I'm interested to know know what happens when a game doesn't work. Does it throw an error code or something else?

I agree with the Nix_Lon, YSMenu is better than the official kernel in most cases and should work with your card. Also agreed there should be no reason to dual boot.
